Install the Protected Trust Outlook Add-in

The Protected Trust Add-in for Microsoft Outlook (here-in referred to as “the add-in”) enables users to send and receive secure messages using the familiar Microsoft Outlook e-mail interface.This document describes how to install the add-in on a workstation

  1. Go to https://app.protectedtrust.com/login and sign in with your email address and password.

  2. At the bottom of the dashboard page, click Windows App under Download Apps

  3. On the next page, click Download Now!

  4. Once downloaded, run the installer and click Install Now 

    If you are sending encrypted emails from Outlook, keep the checkbox  "Make Protected Trust my default email client" unchecked

  5. Once the install completes, open Outlook and verify the Protected Trust icon shows in the top right corner.  When creating or replying to messages, you should now see the Protected Trust lock icon in the left corner.
