Set up Self Service Password Reset

Creating self service password credentials will allow you to reset your password without contacting an administrator.

How To - End-User_ Initial Self Service Password Reset Setup
  1. First open up a web browser log into your account at portal.office.com

  2. The box that appears should say More information required. Click next.

    Note: If your administrator has not enabled self password reset you will be redirected to your dashboard. Speak with your admin to enable this feature.
  3. You will be redirected to a page that says don't lose access to your account.

  4. From here you will need to set up at least one of the options to reset your password either phone or email or both.

  5. To set up your phone next to authentication phone is not configured click, set it up now.

  6. To verify your phone number pick the country of your location then type in your cell phone number with area code and click text me.

  7. You will receive a text on your phone with the code. Enter the code in the box and click verify, you will be redirected back to the previous page.

  8. To verify your email address click set it up now.

  9. On the next page type in a personal email address and click email me.

  10. Go to your email and open the email with the code.

  11. Type the code in the box and click verify.

  12. You will see a green check next to your authentication method if set up properly.

  13. Click finish and you will be redirected to your dashboard for Office 365. This will allow you to reset your password moving forward.
