Concierge IT for Business
Your IT person is leaving.
Or everything rests on one person who holds every password. Maybe that person is you.

Thirty minutes. No slides. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.

Pedro, Bill or Leah listens first and sets things up. After that, your own small team, the same people every time.

What you might be thinking.
“I should have seen this coming.”
Most small firms run on one person. Seeing it now, before a last day, is the good version.
“They'll take everything with them.”
Most of it can be written down before they go. The list is right below.
“They'll think we're pushing them out.”
Often it is a relief. A team takes the weight off, and what they know gets written down.
“It's me. I hold all of it, and I'm tired.”
Then this page is for you too. You get to stop being the one.
What to get before their last day
Start today, even if their last day is weeks away.
- The admin sign-ins for Microsoft 365 or Google, with two people at the firm able to get in.
- Your domain (the name in your web and email addresses), registered in the firm's name, with the firm's email and card on the account.
- The firewall, the Wi-Fi and remote access: where they are and how to get in.
- The backups, and a restore that worked this year.
- Every password in a password manager the firm owns, not in one person's head.
- Anything on a personal account: a personal email, phone or card tied to a work system.
- Vendors and licenses, with their renewal dates.
- A simple map of the network, even one drawn by hand.
The full list, with what to ask for each, is in the Keys Guide.
One person, or a small team
| One person | A small team | |
|---|---|---|
| A vacation or a sick day | Everything waits | Someone who knows your office picks up |
| The passwords | In one person's head | In a password manager the firm owns |
| When they leave | What they know leaves too | It is written down, in the firm's name |
| Nights and big projects | One person, stretched | The whole team behind your first call |
How it starts
Nothing changes until you have said yes.
- Thirty minutes with a real person. Tell us what is going on. You leave with an answer, whether or not it is us.
- A plan and a price, in writing. What we found, what we would do first, and what it costs.
- Then the same people take it from there. Your own small team, who know your office. One of them is the person you call.

Chris Bridges has been my go-to from the beginning. He is super responsive and if he is not available for a time-sensitive issue, he makes sure that another knowledgeable technician resolves it quickly.
A story from Ingram
What my lawn taught me about IT The mowing anyone can do. Knowing what is happening to the lawn, and what to do about it, is the rare part.

Questions people ask
Plain answers.
Do I need to know what to ask?
No. Knowing what to ask is our job. Bring what you have, and we will ask the rest.
Our IT person is staying. Can you work with them?
Yes. They hold the vision and stay your first call, and they get a team behind them for the nights, the vacations and the big projects. How that is priced is on the pricing page and in how co-managed IT works.
What if they will not hand things over?
The keys belong to the firm. With proof that the firm owns the account, Microsoft and your domain's registrar can return admin access. It can take a few weeks, so we start it on day one, and we do that work with you.
How soon can you start?
Now. We start with the admin sign-ins and the domain, the two things that can lock a firm out, while your IT person is still there to walk us through them.
What if they leave before we are ready?
Call anyway. We start the same way, with the sign-ins and the domain, and work from there.
Is there a contract?
Yes, a plain one. A one-year agreement, or two years or more with the rate held. Either side can end it with sixty days' written notice before it renews. You can read it before you sign anything.
What does it cost?
$125 per person, per month, with security in every plan. People in the field are $30. Setup is $150 a person, with a $1,500 minimum. See what it costs.
